Meet Davonta’, Planning Associate

You might say Davonta’ has been financially motivated his entire life. Growing up in small towns around Charlotte, North Carolina he became fascinated by financial topics from a very early age in discussions with his parents and family friends. Ultimately, Davonta’ concluded that money was a tool that could allow the people he cared about to spend more time with the ones they loved. Good financial decisions could further peoples’ life dreams. And with that, a financial planner was born.

Davonta’ went on to study financial planning at Western Carolina University, where he also served as the Finance Club President and went on to participate in financial planning competitions as part of the University’s Investment Management Team. But his passion for helping others was cemented while serving as a tutor for a General Finance class at the university.

These skills are now applied at Alterra Advisors as Davonta’ assists in creating financial plans, working with the team to apply the best solutions to help families achieve their financial dreams. In his spare time, Davonta’ is a Lego enthusiast and enjoys the wide variety of outdoor activities found in the Pacific Northwest.
